We know you may have concerns about Coronavirus (COVID-19), so would like to take this opportunity to share how we are keeping both our team and our customers safe and healthy. Here is what we have done:
- Implemented increased facility sanitation practices.
- Reinforced our existing procedures and training on effective handwashing and using personal protective wear.
- Enforced new procedures for suppliers and other third parties entering our facility.
As of today, we will be including a free 200ml hand sanitiser (62% alcohol, EU standards) with all orders that qualify for free delivery for a limited time period. This is to ensure the initial distribution of personal care products to our customers. We have also implemented contactless deliveries with the assistance of our delivery partners, Picup. At each destination, our drivers will sign for parcels on behalf of each customer and will practice a zero contact parcel exchange.
We will be launching a variety of new products to our store including hand sanitizers, vitamin-rich products and other consumable goods that we believe will add value to our customers during this time.
While we recognize the importance of taking these precautions, multiple sources, including the EFSA currently indicate the risk of transmission from food products is unlikely.
Additionally, with our focus on local producers we know and trust and being an online business with no retail locations, Buyfresh provides an environment with far less handling and contact than in a traditional store. We urge our customers to consider home delivery services during this time. Your health and safety is important to us.
We will be tracking updates and news reports, and as things develop, we will re-evaluate and keep you updated about any changes to our policies or procedures.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us here.
